‘Whitefriars Lodge’ is the rear wing (we believe the old chauffeurs cottage) of a huge period manor house set in serene surroundings just a short stroll from Blakeney Quay.   Approached by means of a private driveway, the house has a very pretty south facing garden and a delightful sunny courtyard – just perfect for early evening drinks and barbeques!

The property has undergone extensive refurbishment and now offers the ideal family holiday retreat.  The décor is luxurious and very comfortable and the owners have added many thoughtful touches throughout.

The house offers two double bedrooms and a twin bedded room, all of which have built in wardrobes and two have vanity units and basins.  The master bedroom has lovely views towards the marshes and the sea beyond.  The fourth bedroom is perfect for children and offers bunk beds, and two single beds and the owners have thoughtfully equipped this room with an LCD TV, DVD and Playstation!  The house has full central heating and plenty of hot water.  There is a lovely family bathroom upstairs with sea views and a separate shower room (with power shower) and cloakroom situated on the ground floor.  For beach and sailing enthusiasts (and muddy dogs!) there is also a hot outdoor shower…just great to freshen up after a hard days outdoor activities!

The sitting room is extremely comfortable and has beautiful soft furnishings – squashy sofas and an open fire – perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine after windswept marsh walks. There is a large LCD TV with Sky and the owners have thoughtfully left a great selection of movies on DVD.

The kitchen is well equipped with a ‘Neff’ hob and built in oven,  microwave,  fridge and fridge freezer.  At the end of the kitchen is a dining area which seats six comfortably or eight at a push, plus of course there is the ‘al fresco’ dining area too!!  The utility room is situated just outside the kitchen in part of the courtyard.  This room has a washing machine and tumble dryer and offers shelving and hanging space for wetsuits, towels etc. 

This house has so much to offer, high standards and true home comforts, and is perfectly suited to a family or group of friends that want to escape to the coast and relax in beautiful surroundings.   A real gem…treat yourselves!

Well behaved dogs are acceptable by prior arrangement at a small extra charge.  The house is designated as non smoking for the comfort of all guests.
