We are delighted that some very good friends of ours have allowed us to share with you their beautiful home in Blakeney. This delightful and immaculate house has everything one could wish for; a spacious comfortable interior, beautifully manicured and enclosed gardens of over an acre, and wonderful views out to Blakeney point!
The main reception rooms are accessed from a good sized front hall off which is a cloakroom and WC. Furnished with a nautical theme, the drawing room is particularly light and bright with windows on three aspects and those all important views! The sofas and armchairs cluster around an incredibly efficient log burner and there is a TV with free view and DVD for evenings at home.
The kitchen has hand painted units and boasts both an AGA and electric ovens and hobs. It is very well equipped with dishwasher, fridge, top load washing machine etc and its small breakfast area and the kitchen itself both look out over the garden to the coast beyond. At the rear of the kitchen is the rear hall and utility room with freezer and another downstairs loo. There is plenty of hanging space here for coats, wellies etc.
There is a lovely dining room at the front of the house with a good sized table seating eight and this leads through to the ‘snug’ with a comfy sofa and another TV/DVD.
Upstairs is a spacious landing with the master bedroom with 5ft bed and ensuite bathroom area - again fabulous views. There is another lovely bedroom which can either be a twin bedded room or 6ft double on request (please specify your requirements when booking), and there is a further small twin bedded room. These 2 rooms share the main family bathroom with separate loo. Accessed from stairs at the rear of the kitchen is another double room with en-suite bathroom. There is an adjoining door to bedroom 2. All the rooms are extremely comfortably furnished with so much care and attention to detail.
The simply lovely and beautifully cared for gardens are a special feature of this fabulous property with immaculate lawns (including a croquet lawn) patio areas with tables and chairs and a brick built barbeque. A high brick and flint wall ensures privacy at the front of the house and no other buildings lie between the house and the salt marshes. There is access to the coastal path from the garden and there is parking for 2 cars in tandem in the driveway and further parking on hard standing in front of the house on the road.
The owners may accept a small and extremely well behaved dog if strict house rules are adhered to, on agreement with BCC. We are sure that our discerning guests will be delighted with this spectacular house and will want to return again and again!
