Tillers Adrift, Blakeney

This delightful brick and flint cottage really is a hidden gem. It nestles at the end of a scenic 'loke' in the very heart of Blakeney village. We have been really fortunate to have been associated with this property for the last four years during which time our guests have requested many repeat visits. Tillers Adrift exudes charm and comfort and really is a special 'great escape' secret. The location is perfect, just a stones throw from the Quay, and, the excellent facilities Blakeney has to offer, however ,its real charm is the welcoming interior. One rather famous guest commented that "the house really envelopes you in its warmth" - a view many have echoed. The owners have taken particular care to provide every luxury and the furnishings, antiques and accessories reflect this. The accommodation is spacious with two double bedrooms complete with antique brass bedsteads, sumptuous mattresses and hand embroidered bed linen. Also, this property has the added advantage of a full sized bathroom and an upstairs shower room. The drawing room has comfy sofas arranged around a roaring log fire. Candles adorn the room and the dining table overlooks a pretty walled garden where passion flowers and honeysuckle abound - (also great for alfresco suppers). The kitchen has a ' Stanley' range which provides cooking and heating facilities and the owner, being a keen chef keeps a well stocked store cupboard. Many a hearty breakfast is enjoyed here before bracing walks on the marshes. A complete package of dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave is provided too. The owners, being great animal lovers are happy to accommodate a well behaved dog with our permission at the time of booking. Parking is available just a hundred yards further up the high street. Because we want you to enjoy the house at its best we do not allow smokers. Well behaved dogs are welcome This property comes with our very highest recommendations, so book early!

Tiller's Adrift was closed during November / December 2003 while refurbishment was undertaken. Both the downstairs bathroom and the upstairs shower room have been totally replaced and are now absolutely sumptuous! A gorgeous piece of black granite has been installed in place of the wood worktop / drainer in the kitchen. The Belfast sink has also been replaced with a new one and a washing machine has been installed in the back lobby. Finally, the sitting room was redecorated and so the house has been refreshed and is more inviting than ever!
