Moys Cottage - Blakeney

Nestling in a quiet ‘loke', 500 yards from Blakeney Quay is Moys Cottage.  Built from local brick and flint, this small period cottage exudes charm.  Beautifully furnished and filled with pictures, porcelain and ornaments, it is the perfect romantic hideaway for a couple and a secluded relaxing base from which to explore North Norfolk.

Acting on guests feedback, the owners of Moys have just completed an update of the cottage for this season.   The bathroom facilities have been improved tremendously and a brand new ensuite bathroom upstairs replaces the former small second bedroom.

The sitting room is lovingly furnished with a deeply cushioned sofa and armchair around a wonderful fireplace with a wood burning stove. Wall lights and table lamps on side tables combine to give this room an ambience that you will find difficult to leave at night to explore the local hostelries.   There is a TV, CD player with a small selection of CD's, a variety of reading material and a cupboard with games, jigsaw puzzles, packs of cards etc.   From the entrance hall is a cloakroom w/c with a new walk in powerful shower.   The delightful small country style kitchen, with its pammant tiled floor, is kitted out with a table and chairs, electric cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc

The wooden staircase leads up to the large double bedroom. A room again filled with charm, and is open up to the rafters giving a wonderful airy feel.  The large double wooden bed dominates the room with table lamps on bedside tables and wall lights highlighting the  pictures that cover the walls.  There is a wardrobe and beside the small original decorative fireplace is an elegant chest of drawers.   Leading off this bedroom is an ensuite bathroom with a cast iron roll top slipper bath, w/c and basin.  Crisp Egyptian cotton bed linen and fluffy towels are provided (but we do ask you to bring your own beach towels).  Although there is a wood burning stove, the house is centrally heated for those days when there is no need for a roaring fire!  At the front of the house is a small seating area outside, ideal to enjoy an early evening glass of wine while watching the world go by.

Because we want you to enjoy the house at its best we do not allow smokers. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Everyone who has stayed in this charming cottage has fallen in love with it – so book early to avoid disappointment!
